Motorcade co-ordination in China's urban environment requires specific protocols: inter-vehicle communication discipline, gap control in heavy traffic, the management of vehicle separation when road conditions force divergent routing, and the protocol for approaching and departing from Chinese government buildings, which have their own vehicle management procedures. Integration with Close Protection Teams
FFGR China works as the transport function within the principal's overall security team structure — not as a replacement for close protection officers. Where a CP team is in place, our role is to provide the vehicles, drivers, and transport logistics that the CP team directs. Where there is no CP team, we provide security-aware transport with the enhanced soft security measures described above, and we can facilitate introductions to vetted CP providers in China if the principal's risk profile warrants a full team.
Briefing protocols between FFGR China dispatchers and CP team leads are established before the first movement: communication channels, vehicle identification (which vehicle carries which protectee), the protocol for an unexpected event mid-route, and the emergency extraction procedure. Operational Security in Practice — FFGR Standards
FFGR China applies operational security standards across all security-rated programmes: no social media communication about principal movements, no identification of the principal's name in any vehicle tracking system or booking reference visible to third parties, background-checked and security-briefed drivers, and end-of-engagement route and event log provided to the CP team for after-action review. Driver phones are set to silent mode for the duration of the principal's movement.
Bookings for security-rated programmes are managed through a dedicated secure channel separate from standard commercial bookings. Access to the programme details is restricted within FFGR China to the operational team managing the engagement. The principal's identity is managed on a need-to-know basis within our organisation throughout the engagement.
